There is little doubt that Jason Reilly looks to be heading for the most successful season of his training career.
With just over six months of the current season completed Jason has already equalled his number of winners from last season and he has achieved that mark with almost 25% less runners.
The great form of the stable continued at Grafton last week when Emotional Appeal led throughout to score a very impressive victory in the Maiden 1400m Ridden by Millie Thompson Emotional Appeal sped across from a wide gate to have the lead before the first turn. Millie then dropped anchor to slow the speed before pushing the button in the run to the turn which in the end proved to be a winning move.
Emotional Appeal like so many of the Reilly yard was purchased online and has well and truly repaid her purchase price in just three starts.
It seems Reilly had an idea the mare was close to the money electing to scratch her from two races at the previous Grafton meeting to wait on the more suitable event.
