Although he only has a boutique stable David Campbell has already been able to secure his first winner for the season at the Murwillumbah Cup meeting in late August.
Ridden by apprentice Emily Farr Eastowin settled back in the small field before Farr made the decision to stick close to the rails and save plenty of ground rounding the home turn. There is little doubt this tactical decision made the difference with Eastowin scooting through on the inside to score a narrow victory.
It was the second win for since the gelding joined the Campbell yard almost 12 months ago.
