With the Grafton Carnival in full swing Grafton trainer Vanessa McLennan decided to head further afield in search of easier pickings and with fruitful results.
Following unsuccessful trips to Port Macquarie and Ipswich it was the trip to Inverell on July 18 that saw the stable ring up number one.
Although Fresh Prince was accepted to contest the Maclean Cup at Grafton a day later Vanessa elected to make the trip up the mountain to Inverell on the Saturday and was able to ring up number one.
Ridden to perfection by Stephen Cummins Fresh Prince sat fourth the fence before Cummins weaved his way into the clear and Fresh prince raced strongly to the line to win in the BM 50 !600m.
It was the the second win for Fresh Prince this preparation.
