Comes Of Age

From day one Under Twenty Two showed plenty of skill being unlucky at his first three starts before breaking through for a Grafton 1200m Maiden win in his first preparation.
However, it has taken eleven starts for him to find his way back to the winners circle which he did with some authority at Ballina on Friday in the BM 58 1400m.
Ridden by the in form Andrew Mallyon the Andy Parramore trained gelding had to overcome a wide gate and had little luck being caught three wide with no cover in the run before being pushed five deep on the home turn.
Once balanced in the straight despite his torrid run Under Twenty Two knuckled down strongly to win well.
It was only the second time Under Twenty Two has been tried past 1300m and judging by the strength of his win there could be more wins in store now he has stepped up in trip.
The win continues the great run Andy Parramore has had with horses owned by another trainer in Paul Richardson.
