Missile Aimed At The Championships

As the CRJC prepare for this Friday’s race meeting and most of the trainers in Grafton put the final polish on their Country Championship horses it is time to review our meeting from last Tuesday.
Grafton trainer Todd Fletcher headed to the races with the highly promising Noble Missile which was engaged in the final event of the afternoon.
With rain throughout the day the main question being asked by many was the meeting going to be completed.
By the time the final race was conducted the track had been downgraded to a heavy 9 but that as it turned out did nothing to dampen the changes of Noble Missile.
Ridden by regular rider Raymond Spokes who has been aboard at seven of the geldings eight starts. Noble Missile stalked the leaders in the run to the turn before finding clear air below the 300m and dashing away to score the easiest of victories.
The question that Todd now has to answer is following the impressive victory does he push on to the Country Championships Heat at Coffs Harbour in a couple of weeks.
