Patience Pays Off

As we all wait for the news on when both racing and NSW will open up it is time to do some catch up on recent racing.
It was a timely result for Greg Howells when former Victorian Ultimate Man scored in the Maiden 1700m on September 20.
Ultimate Man was selected by Howells on an online sale in March and has proved to be an absolute bargain buy winning way more in prize money than his purchase price in his first preparation.
In his six runs since joining the yard Ultimate man has picked up a prizemoney cheque at every appearance.
To add even more to the win Howells would be the first admit the gelding gives the impression he will only improve.
Ridden by Raymond Spokes at the expense of regular rider Matt McGuren who was ill Ultimate Man settled just off the pace before dashing between runners in the straight to race away and win with plenty in reserve.
