Patience Pays Off

With racing returning to Grafton this Sunday it seems an appropriate time to catch up on how the Grafton based trainers have been fairing whilst on the road over the Christmas break so we will add at least one update a day.
We will start with team Everson which has had an excellent season so far.
Christmas began early at Coffs Harbour on December 10 when Rioli scored a solid win in a BM 50 1313m . The eight year old then proved that win was no fluke when he ventured to Ballina on Boxing day he was again in the winners circle in a BM 50 1260m.
Those wins have taken his career total to five but it was the first time he has been able to make them back to back.
To add to the Christmas cheer on Boxing Day Subrunner was able to win his second race for the stable when he was successful in the BM 50 1600m.
Everson then started 2023 in fine style on Ballina Cup Day when Sir Havachat resumed from a spell to score a very impressive victory in the Class 1 1000m. It was the first start for the colt since he scored an effortless win at the Casino Cup Meeting earlier in the season.
As history would show 3yos that win early in the season against older horses normally have above average ability so it could be that Sir Havachat has a bright future.
No doubt team Everson will be hoping the winners continue to flow.
