The Clarence River Jockey Club is proud to announce it is continuing its financial support for the Thoroughbred classes at the upcoming Clarence Valley regional agricultural shows.
This year Maclean Show Society will be first cab off the rank with their show to be conducted on Tuesday April 21 and Wednesday April 22.
This year the CRJC will sponsor all the Thoroughbred Led classes on day one of the show and then back up as the sponsor for the Thoroughbred Ridden classes on day two.
Hot on the back of Maclean Show the Grafton Show will be conducted on Friday April 24 and Saturday April 25.
The CRJC have decided to sponsor this year:
Ridden Thoroughbred – Newcomer
Ridden Thoroughbred – Open
Ridden Thoroughbred – Northern Rivers Resident
Plus a rug for the Champion Ridden Thoroughbred of the show.
In addition to the traditional ridden classes the Clarence River Jockey Club will also sponsor the three Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association show jumping events to be conducted at the show:

Clarence River Jockey Club Chairman Mr Graeme Green said “it is with great pride that the CRJC is continuing its support of local show events focused on the participation of Thoroughbreds post their racing careers. It is hoped by more events focused on Thoroughbreds that these majestic and intelligent animals become the equine of choice for those equestrians competing in these types of events.”
In addition, the CRJC have also decided to sponsor the Grafton Pony Club as they endeavor to raise funds to upgrade their jumping course to make it compliant with modern safety and competition standards.
