Tyranny Takes Control

It was another successful day for the locals at the Grafton race meeting yesterday with two of the five winners going to Grafton based stables.
The day started well for the Dwayne Schmidt yard when Define Tyranny proved too strong for his rivals in the Maiden 1720m.
Define Tyranny had been runner up over 1400m two starts earlier after leading and although not the pre race plan to lead yesterday Rolls summed thing up to a nicety mid race and allowed the bold going gelding to slide to the front when he commenced to over race when racing without cover near the 1300m.
Once in control Rolls steadied Define Tyranny and got some easy sectionals before going for home at the 500m to establish what turned out to be a winning break.
Judging off his Victorian form Define Tyranny may even be better suited when further stepped up in distance.
Whilst it was the slow tempo that assisted Define Tyranny to victory exactly the opposite could be said for the win of the Jason Reilly prepared Mia’s Got Class in the BM 58 1115m
Allowed to go straight back to last in what was a very quickly run race by the inform Kirk Matheson Mia’s Got Class commenced to make ground coming to the home turn and swooped right down the outside to get to the lead in the shadows of the post.
It was a fair time between drinks for the mare which was previously trained by Matt Dunn and had not won since January 2018.
The win provided the first for Jason Reilly this season and the second on the day for Kirk Matheson in what turned out to be a winning treble.
