As we head into 2026 last seasons leading Grafton trainer Shane Everson is on track for a repeat with what could best be described as a Dizzy few months.
Since his year back to back victories with Lampkin Lane at Tabulam Everson has been a regular visitor to the winners circle mainly courtesy of up and coming stable star Dizzy Dee.
From late October to late November Dizzy Dee created a picket fence of wins at her home track.
Ridden in each of her wins by claiming apprentice Jett Newman it was pretty much Dizzy Dee that was going like a jet jumping straight to the front on each occasion dictating the terms and then finding plenty under pressure to hold on to win with some authority, it was a case of rinse and repeat.
Even after the advantage of the claim Dizzy Dee had to contend with continuing rise in the weights with each win being recorded in BM 58 company which saw her handicap rise from 57 to 61.5 kg during the winning spree.
Whilst the performances of Dizzy Dee had the stable giddy there were also other winners from the yard with Jett Newman also the pilot.
Snow Falcon earned a spell after scoring a strong win at Lismore in October in a BM 58 1100m after stalking the leaders in the run Snow Falcon worked into the clear on the home turn to quickly put the issue beyond doubt. this was the mares fifth win since joining the yard.
Maybe the best performance was in the 2200m BM 58 when Jett produced an outstanding ride to bolt in on Sun Topaz. In what had been a quickly run affair Jett took off at the 600m and had already established what turned out to be a winning break as heads were turned for home.
It was the fourth win for Sun Topaz all coming in his first preparation for Everson.
No doubt team Everson will be hoping 2026 mirrors 2025.
