Veteran trainer Neville Stewart headed to Murwillumbah on Friday with stable newcomer BUSH SHINDIG in the maiden 1100m.
Ridden by Jag Guthmann-Chester the gelding blew start and was a clear last on settling however Jag did not panic and was happy to follow the field until the 500m when he then shifted to the outside of the field.
Once in the straight BUSH SHINDIG sprinted quickly to round up the opposition by the 150m and run to the line strongly for a very strong win.
