Grafton trainer Greg Howells could be forgiven for thinking he is the third long lost brother of the Leyland Brothers because over the past few weeks he has been travelling all over the countryside in search of a win with Millennium Prayer.
First trip away was the Bowraville Cup meeting where the gelding ran a creditable race when second in the Maiden 1370. Then it was a trip to the time honoured Tabulam Cup with another second placing being recorded in the Maiden 1400m.
Then they got what they wanted to see with Millennium Prayer heading to Wauchope for a Maiden 1240m. Peter Graham who had been on the journey throughout maintained the ride and produced a ripper stealing runs between horses in the early part of the straight before the gelding raced away to win well.
